Exactly who does this kind of advocacy serve? Even if we assume that people are innately gay or hetero from birth, do we help gay youngsters by trying to get them sexually active as young as possible? Seems like the odds of living to a decent age increase somewhat in proportion to self-restraint and decrease dramatically for kids who buy into educational materials that try to con them into offering themselves up for sexual exploitation.

If we weren't so blinded culturally by the modern notion that "freedom" and "self-indulgence blind to consequences" are synonyms, we'd realize that these materials are propaganda for child abuse. It doesn't matter if the kid is gay, straight, bisexual, or trying to figure out what he is - it's sexual abuse to farm kids out to predatory hedonists as playthings. This isn't self-actualization. It's simple exploitation.

And because they face certain dangers more, gay teenagers need restraint as much or more than their heterosexual peers. "Just do it" points them to the grave, not to a happier life.

This is ASTOUNDING to me. I just cannot wrap my mind around this sort of thinking. Cannot.
